Meet dr.chris molnar.

Chris Molnar, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist and clinical investigator, founded Mindful Exposure Therapy for Anxiety and Psychological Wellness Center, Inc. (META Center) in 2007. She is expert in the assessment and treatment of anxiety, OCD, PTSD, emotional, and stress-related conditions using evidence-based practices. Her expertise combines clinical psychology, psycho-physiology and the brain sciences. Since 1992, her work has focused on understanding and treating severe anxiety and related conditions.

At META Center Dr. Molnar and associates integrate findings about the brain, emotion, and learning to facilitate mental and behavioral habit change, even in the face of severe distress. Before founding META Center, Dr. Molnar worked as a clinical researcher and therapist in various healthcare and educational settings. This work led her to focus on mindfulness training combined with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to support new learning in therapy & in those seeking to change habits in every-day life. Dr. Molnar's background led her to offer evidence-based practices (EBPs) at META Center and, when needed, supplement them with cutting-edge state of the art advances in psychological science. Dr. Molnar developed an innovative brief mindfulness-based CBT training program (META's MCBT), completed by over 1000 to date, to support highly stressed people in applying mindfulness to everyday life. She offers mindfulness-based interventions & training programs to the general public interested in wellness. She is committed to ongoing refinement of interventions and programs to enhance health of mind, body, and behavior.

Dr. Molnar serves the public in many ways, including training other professionals and educating the general population about how to enhance wellness. She accomplishes this through professional presentations, workshops, publications, and service to the Philadelphia Behavior Therapy Association (PBTA: www.philabta.org) and other professional organizations.  She is PBTA's past-President and ongoing Continuing Education (CE) Chair since 2007, & founder of the Mindful Therapists Community, a group of professionals who provide peer consultation to one another to enhance care.
